Fly Fishing Giveaway | March

Filed under Contest News, Tips & More

So you have probably gathered that we have are having a little fly tying contest. Here’s the scoop… we want to feature the flies of some ‘undiscovered’ talent in our 2011 full color catalog. Our good friends over at Rainy’s Flies (the company who does flies for Kreh, Clouser, Whitlock, Galloup and more) will be taking them to production for us as well.

Not only that but the winners will pick up some cool stuff from companies like Renzetti, Fishpond and more (stay tuned for more on the prizes).

So take a look around the site and let us know what you think. To enter this month’s giveaway, just give us some kind of feedback. Comments, questions, suggestions, the good, the bad, the ugly… we want it all. So just scroll down and comment to let us know what you think.

Remember, this contest is for you- the normal guy, so if you have a pattern, we would LOVE to see it and if you can think of a way we can make it better, we want to know! We will choose a random comment at the end of March and award the Renzetti Traveller.

Good luck and we hope to see one of your patterns in the contest!

Evan

Just found this link through facebook. My son and I have just started learning to fly fish. He started making flies over the winter and has turned into quit the fly manufacture. So we started looking for resources in our area to learn tying and fishing from. And in our search found the Freestate Fly Fishers fly club in Lawrence, Ks. With alot of knowledgeable members to learn from on tying and fishing this has been a great experience so far. But as you know the more you get into something the more resources for materials, equipment, patterans, tips and tricks you are always looking for. This site seems to have alot of those aspects. And being new to tying and fishing our list of needed equipment and supplies is growing. I look forward to keeping up on the new patterns. We have already added this to our favarites for easy access. As you may know Kansas waters have just finnaly deiced so the first trip to the water with a fly rod will be this week as soon as we get a clear day. The vise would be a good start to our collection as the vise we are using is barrowed from a family member. Who knows maybe we can submitt some of our crazy patterns after we see how the work in the water.
