Hook: Tube Fly Set-up
Body: Saddle Hackle, Bucktail, Flashabou
Eyes: Molded Eyes
Gill Plate: Mylar
Info: The profile is achieved with splayed buck tail and tented/vertical/flat feathers…
The hook is tied to a leader… theleader is threaded thru the lower junction tube and the hook eye is oriented and seated in the flexible tube… the lower/more forward DualTube design makes for beter tracking and a more realistic swimming motion… I test my designs in a hot tub and tweak things until it’s right…
I fish these larger Phlyz in low light situations on a floating or intermediate line and dead drift in the current or very slow retrieve…
I stake out salt water estuary herring run outflows and guzzle and target large Striped Bass muggers…
The line gets funny, goes tight… I strip strike and clear the line as it exits my stripping basket… Let the show begin…
