Bill’s BWO Emerger

Pattern Recipe:
thread -
olive 8/0
hook-tmc 2487 size 14,16,18.
tail -partridge fibers
abdomen -goose biot-olive or bwo
thorax- fine olive dubbing
under wing -ice dubbing
over wing -elkhair sparce.
head -small clump of elk hair trimmed to a rounded head.

Pattern History:
idea incorporated from S. stalcup, May flies top to Bottom. added ice wing for sparkle to suggest shuck and to add attraction and elk wing to aid floation.

Comments / Special Instructions:
may coat biot with hard as nails and add flexament or hard as nails to head.
in wrapping biot ,tie biot one way to create a segmented body. or with idge down for a smooth body. trim head to a rounded head by tieing a small clump over wing tie in point then trim flat on bottom and round on top much like a muddler head.
