Tied and Sbmitted by: Matt Meahan

Pattern Recipe:
Hook: TMC 9395 size 4
Thread: White
Cone:
Tail: 20pound mono loop guard with grizzly marabou pulled through. White zoner placed on top and tied in zonker style.
Body: Senyo’s Lazer Dub in white spun into a dubbing loop.
Fins: Grizzly Marabou tied in on each side(facing slightly up)
Gills: Red Ice dub tied in V style then folded back over itself
Head: EP streamer brush
Lead: 0.25 about 15 wrapps
Pattern History:
I tied this fly to represent small bait-fish(smolt mainly) on its way back to the ocean. Big trout in Alaska love smashing smolt balls in the spring and this fly has just the right amount of weight to get you in the zone quick and then just lights up in the water like a fleeing bait-fish. You can swing this pattern or strip it like standard streamers both methods have work try witch ever works best for you.

Comments / Special Instructions:
I also tie this pattern in ginger and think you could tie in any color to represent local baitfish.
