Connection: 20 pound spyder wire
Stinger Hook: Gamakatzu SL45 size 5 (you could also use a Gamakatzu B10)
Tail: White zonker tied in tail end of the stinger hook then at the eye of the stinger.
Body: Whit palmored rabbit
Collar: Red zonker tied in dubbing loop
Head: White rabbit in dubbing loop
Flash: Pearl flashabou
Eyes: Lead Eyes size 1/30
Pattern History:
In Alaska the bandit leech works great for trout all over the state, but I have found a few downfalls. You get to many short strikes and the action is not that good. By incorporating a stinger hook not only do you get more hook ups but the fish tend to throw the hook less. By adding dumbbell eyes you get a diving motion in the water that gets the fly deeper and makes it look like its dying. With the rabbit head spun into a dubbing loop you get a buggier look and it holds less water witch makes easier casting.
